STROMLO FOREST PARK

This world class running & bike riding facility (www.stromloforestpark.com.au) is noted for its high quality criterium (bike circuit), asphalt surface and 2.5km special purpose grass running track. The construction of both surfaces required attention to detail and technical prowess. The successful completion of the project speaks volumes about the diverse capability of Group One and its personnel.

The 2.5km grass running track is maintained via a network of irrigation, drawing recycled water from the main pond which is stored in three cast insitu 26,000L concrete tanks.

In addition to the running and cycling tracks, Group One constructed all access roads, fencing, potable water reticulation, sanitary drainage (including Biolytix wastewater treatment system) and open space landscaping. Over 15,000 shrubs & trees were planted across the site.
